How Filvacy Protects Your Clients' Data

Strong encryption, individual keys per file, guaranteed permanent deletion: here is how Filvacy concretely protects the personal information you entrust to it.

Notaries, accountants, lawyers, financial advisors — you handle sensitive personal information every day. Your clients trust you to protect it. Here is how Filvacy honours that trust.

End-to-end encryption

Every document, message, and file exchanged through Filvacy is encrypted before being stored. No one can read your files without the appropriate decryption keys — not a malicious third party, and not Filvacy itself outside the normal operation of the service.

Each client file has its own encryption key. A partial breach never exposes all your files — one client's data cannot be used to access another's.

Permanent and irreversible deletion

When you delete a client file, the encryption key specific to that file is immediately destroyed. The data becomes permanently inaccessible — even to Filvacy — without waiting for the physical deletion of files on the servers.

This is the mechanism recommended by the GDPR (art. 17) and Law 25 to honour the right to erasure. Deletion is effective immediately, not in 30 days.

What this means for you in practice

  • Law 25 and GDPR compliance: you can demonstrate that data is protected and deleted on request
  • Limited liability: your client files are not stored in plaintext at a third party
  • Controlled access: only authorized members of your team can view files
  • Professional secrecy: Filvacy never accesses your data for any purpose other than operating the service

What Filvacy does not do

  • Filvacy does not sell or share your data for commercial or advertising purposes
  • Filvacy does not use your documents to train artificial intelligence models
  • Filvacy does not access your files without your knowledge
